Last night, a 3rd base coach for Team A was ejected in the 5th inning of a boys slow pitch league game (ASA) for arguing about a call. Team A was losing at the time. A baserunner for Team A was going home and there was a play at the plate. The baserunner made a good slide into home. The catcher was in position to make the tag, received the throw, tagged the baserunner and then dropped the ball after the collision with the baserunner. The umpire called the baserunner out. Be it right or wrong, it was his judgement that the catcher held and controlled the ball long enough to tag out the baserunner. The 3rd base coach challenged the call "vigorously" on the field and then went to the dugout, pulled out a cell phone and told the umpire that he would never ump another game in this league again. He asked the umpire for his name. The umpire offered his name and then ejected the coach. The coach started to leave the field and then returned to continue the argument. The umpire then "ended" the game.
Should this game pick up at a later date where it left off, be forfeited by Team A, or be concluded with the score remaining at the point where the umpire ended it?
