This was a big arguement in my league and I want some people to understand. The banned bats to me as a pitcher is for this reason and to me only this reason. I have no problem putting better bats in home run hitters hands. To me thats not the issue. A home run hitter in a 4 homerun limit league is going to hit it out with any bat. The guy that bothers me is the 150-180 pound guy that has 100+ bat speed swing that is trying to buzz the tower. Banned bats are for safty please people understand that. I have played super B softball for 15 years now and good hitters dont need to come up the middle to get a base hit. Its the guys who dont know better that end up killing a pitcher. I had a problem with a player last night in our game. Our league has banned all composite bats and he was using his senergy 2 which is not banned by ASA. I tried to tell him that it is for safty reasons and told him that if he pitches and lets us use composite bats that I would let him use his. Boy did he stop in his tracks. Well Please let me know what you think of my post and other pitchers out there let me know how you guys feel. Scotty B
