doesn't it seem contrary that in the end it is the childish coaches and players that seem to win.

Ejected for one action but he's going to do a little more because now that he's been ejected... he feels he didn't get the full value for the penalty, so he's going to make one last payment before leaving... and the umpire suffers for the childish tantrum and not feeling obligated to clean up the ejected one's mess.

Just to keep this going a little more...
what about the player that doesn't draw a line but merely reaches across the plate and taps the dirt over where he thinks the pitch was located. Nothing too dramatic but basically making the same comment. Smile? ignore? eject?
