If we do things by the manual...
We should never have to put the ball down.First horn go toward huddle with 1 finger up,"First horn." We should stay there until they break,if they don't before 2nd horn, it is 2 fingers up with,"2nd horn let's go."
I have not put a ball down in 7-8 years,I've had to step into a huddle a few times,but that is all.
