The best long term forecaster I've found is The Farmer's Almanac.

Much warmer Deep South. 20th-23rd. Clear, cold . 24th-27th. Very warm Southern Plains, east. Severe thunderstorms, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, much of Louisiana. Skies clear, turn colder, with frosts penetrating to Louisiana coast. 28th-31st. Sunny to partly cloudy

That kinda sounds like February, 2 years ago. Man, that was a cold start for softball!
