A couple of years ago at the 3A state tournament, 10AM game in the Tacoma Dome we had an earthquake, floor moving, hugh speakers swaying above both courts, stands vibrating. Came close to a stampede but the PA announcers
did a great job of crowd control altho a lot of them bolted for the door. Play was suspended, book people had the sense to record the status of the ball. We resumed play after about 30-45 minutes until the engineer people could check the structural integrety of the building. They said that inside that dome was the safest place we could be. We resumed both the girls and boys games at the point of interruption ( as recorded). Otherwise would have went to the arrow.
