I said false because the team can take a TO for him/her to remain in the game as long as they can continue by the end of the TO. Am I reading too much into the question because as it is written, it is not entirely False (not entirely true for that matter either).

I believe once a player has been directed to leave it's too late (by rule) to buy his way back in with a TO. I'm also assuming at this point the kid is already up & moving to the bench, if not then we'll just have to wait until he's taken off or able to walk off on his own.
