White side and colored side??
I think I will recommend to ASA that the terms to be changed to white base and base of color, and that the base of color be moved to the fair side of the line.
I think many more corrections are also in order. For example, one might infer from the designation F1 that the pitcher is more important than the players designated by other numbers. Establishing this hierarchy with numbers undoubtedly causes some players to feel uncomfortable and possibly to lose self-esteem. Suggestions for new designations, anyone?
And do we really want to speak of an outfielder who gunned down a runner?
