Team A then commits another common foul. The crew stops and asks the table whether that's 6 or 7. The table says it's 6, we play on. Fast forward to end of Q3. There were several made baskets in the interim. The table now calls the R over and says that foul #6 was actually foul #7. The crew determines we're outside the timeframe to correct the error, so Team A "got away with one".
Let's say, hypothetically, that we were within the timeframe. What would the crew do if they couldn't remember or figure out who the shooter should be to correct the error?

A dishonest home table will always be the bane of the correctable error rule, no matter how diligently the opponent is keeping their own book.
