At 12 seconds left and again with around 10 seconds left in the game, same Liberty player is shooting free throws. All 4 shots were made, and with all 4 shots the shooter clearly stepped into the lane prior to the ball hitting the rim or even close to being 'in the cylinder'.

My 6th grade son asks, 'Dad, why do our free throws get wiped off if we step on or over the free throw line, but the college players can do it?"

My reply, "No idea son, I have no idea."

Is this another inconsequential play/game interrupter deemed by the NCAA men's side? Or maybe the rule is different from NFHS?
