Correctable Unwarranted FT - Take Point Off Board/Book?

2-10-4 : "If the error is a free throw by the wrong player or at the wrong basket, or the awarding of an unmerited free throw, the free throw and the *activity during it, other than unsporting, flagrant, intentional or technical fouls, shall be canceled."

2-10-5 : "Points scored, consumed time and additional activity, which may occur prior to the recognition of an error, shall not be nullified".

What's the difference between "canceled" and "nullified"??

Situation: A1 in control of the ball in A's backcourt commits a player control foul. B was in the bonus and the officials mistakenly allow B to shoot the first free throw of the bonus. The ft is good. Before the ball is at the disposal of the thrower for the second shot, the officials realize that no free throws should have been awarded.

Is the point taken off the board/book for the first, made, unwarranted free throw, via 2-10-4? Or, since the free throw (ie, point??) was scored before the error was recognized, we keep the point on the board and B then gets the ball OOB?

2.10.1 E is similar in that an unwarranted successful 2nd throw is "canceled" and "no goal" is scored.
