Here's one for you (USAV Rules)
Player wearing the libero jersey comes up for the coin toss. In USAV, the libero cannot be the captain. What do you do?

Since I don't do USAV, what's the reasoning behind this rule?

It stems from FIVB (inernational) rules. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess since the libero can't serve internationally, there would be enough times the libero isn't on the floor that to not have a captain always on the floor isn't practical, so they just said no liberos as captains.

Libero as captain
Paul Albright told us to politely ask the coach to send someone else last weekend at the Capitol Hill Classic.

When they're designated on the line up sheet. Until then, they're a team rep, which still is no good. Floor captain only. Aye?

...Which is never designated prematch in USAV until adults... :-)

I never had a Libero only. Usually I have two players from each team come to the coin toss. If one is the Libero....who cares?
