OK, maybe I'm having a little brain freeze here. It's time to take Part One Test again, so I'm I'm asking for your help before I submit my answers online.
Question #1 says: "After the start of the match" if a team has fewer than six eligible players "to begin the match", the state association determines if anything other than a forfeit is appropriate." 6:1 Art 1 states: "A team shall consisit of six players to begin a match. If a team has fewer than six players to begin a match, a forfeit shall be declared unless state association rules determine otherwise." Here's my confusion: Question one begins "After the start of the match..." A.Is this one of those questions that has a wording mistake, or B.Is it False because you can't start a match with fewer than 6 players, or C. Is it true because of the state association rules determining other than a forfeit? My thought is that it is False because you don't have six players to start a match. Am I correct? Question 37. It is a foul when a ball touches a wall. 9:7 Art one says, "A foul is failure to play as permitted by the rules. I'm getting my basketball and soccer vocabulary mixed in here. My first inclination is that the answer is False because it's a dead ball, not a foul? Am I correct? Thanks for your help. Rev

refnrev, as Felix posted in response to devdog69, don't read too much into each question.
#1 - read the first six words and and then read Rule 6-1-2. #37 - See Rule 2-3-1 as well as Rule 9-7-1, then make your decision. Good luck.

I have a feeling the question should read *at* the start of the match...that's how I comprehended it.
Regarding a foul, there are several, including in the net, ball out of playable area, etc...

I missed about five questions last year because of incorrect wording in the rules and case books, and the wording for #1 appearred to be incorrect. "After" and "to begin" contradict each other. I was working on the test and finished 89 of the 100 questions between 11pm and 1am while I was waiting on my son to get home from Mexico on a mission trip. I wans't sure if I was just too tired to think straight or if the wording was awkward or incorrect.
