Well,
My first meet went pretty good. The visiting team couldn't get locker room access for about 15 minutes, so ther meet was delayed about 20-25 minutes.

I only had 2 DQs; 1 obvious one when the 2nd leg of a relay came out of the pool and went straight to the bathroom; the other was during the 50 Breaststroke. The kid hit the wall with only one hand, and didn't bring the other near the wall for about 2 seconds. I am pretty sure about this DQ but just wanted to check here. The coach was a little upset, I almost gave him a T :D but then I remembered which sport I was there to officiate!

BigGref, yes, you made the right call. In breaststroke (as in butterfly), a two-hand touch is required; sounds like this one was pretty obvious.

Beetle, cut a bit of slack - why not offer help when it is asked, instead of giving a lecture?

Beetle,

No problem! We all post comments in haste from time to time. Have a good week!

I think its kind of funny that I posted over a year ago and just in the last week there has been more posts on S&D then the last 6 months. Maybe this could start actual occasional discussions in this forum, or not.

BigGref,

One can hope. :) I'm always happy to chat about swimming, even though I'm no longer involved in coaching like I used to be.
