Enough of instant replay already
Have not watched much if any pro ball yet this year, but trying to watch the Little League World Series is almost unbearable anymore. Between the coaches coming out on every close call, the umpires huddling and the instant replay I can hardly stand to watch.
Yesterday I watched the plate umpire call a ground ball down the left field line fair for a single. Coach comes out and questions call, umpires huddle and apparently U3 who was standing direclty behind F5 and could not possibly have seen the ball cross over the bag convinces PU to reverse his call to foul ball. Now other coach comes out and questions call and goes to instant replay. Instant replay reverses call back to fair ball. |

Even when U3 is off the line?

Dumb question, my fault. Once again, I have confused F5 and F6. I thought in the original description the U3 was in the C position...even though that never happens as standard positioning. D'oh!
