grounder hits 3rd base bag, but immediately turns left into foul territory and does not continue foward. The ball never fully passes 3rd base.

The ump in my game ruled this foul, but everybody thought it was a bad call. Fair or foul?

the ball hit the top of the bag, yet never fully went over the entire bag. just went directly foul.

To be a fair ball, it would have to bound "over" the base.

I certainly hope you are kidding.

Absolutely fair. Just as if it would have gone to the first base side, hit the safety base and gone straight into fair territory: foul ball.

Tom, come back from the dark side. Feel the force, the world doesn't need more coaches.

Tom,

It is so rare when we can find fault with your posts that
we have to leap when we can.
