Point #1 - The biggest and best critic an umpire has is another umpire, hopefully a knowledgeable umpire.

Point #2 - It's a word and sentence to which the reader applies any character or infliction.

Point #3 - To answer a question where there was an issue, you need to point out what may have been the issue and how to possibly avoid it.

My biggest and best critic is myself. The day I stop performing up to my standards is the day I stop officiating.

I agree, but "myself" on has one set of eyes and doesn't always see something even if it is right in front of them.

And sometimes my eyes don't want to see what is really there.

And sometimes when I forget to open my eyes or close my eyes at just that moment, I just guess.

I have found that my success rate for such a strategy is just about 50/50, give or take about 50 or so.
