Thumbs up

Finally, time to get packed and leave for the 18U AFA Nats.
125 teams schedule to take part. Pre-Nats will be Sat. and
Sun.. These are the ones where teams get to see the fields
for the the first time. At least the majority of the teams.
We will be using 15 fields and 52 umpires. Should be getting
the list of Pools soon and where the teams are from. Anyone
on the board coming/or going to Beaumont, Tx. for the event?

Glen,

How did your Nationals go?? Hope that at least one Texas team made it to the finals.

I had a buddy of my head down your way for that tourney. Did you meet a character named Billy Peebles?

Give us an update as to your adventures. Always good to hear from you.

Gary,

Meet Peoples briefly....We had 56 umpires from all over Texas,
OK., and La. All good umpires and no problems on the field except
for the usual "fan umpires". Not but one ejection in the
entire tournament. That was a player who after scoring gave the
other team the high five by utilizing only the "middle finger".
She claimed it was their, [the teams] good luck sign. I had the
simi finals, plate, Chicago Wildcats and the Calif. Jets. Chicago
won it in bottom of seventh. The finals was between RR Gold from
CA., last years winner, and the Chicago Wildcats. When I left to
visit a friend that had had to go to the hospital due to heat exhaustion,
it was 0-0 in the sixth.

Good to see you are still with us.
