I'm Proud
I had an afternoon HS game today. Finished in time to watch one of my proteges work the plate in South Florida's win over Florida in Gainesville. It was televised on FOX Sports Florida. I feel like a proud dad!

She was a grad assistant when my DD was a freshman. One day she told me she wanted to learn to umpire. As a former catcher, she had a pretty good strike zone. During intrasquad scrimmages we would work the bases together. I would explain why we were where we were, what we were looking for, where we would move on different plays, and why.

She had a great game tonight!
