10U Human rain Delay

10U pitcher last night taking every single second of her 20 on almost every pitch - with catcher constantly reminding her to slow down. She finally goes over 20 - so I call time and ask coach to speed her up (we've been asked not to call IP's on the 10U and just tell coach what they are doing so they can fix it).

Coach's reply to me, "But she's just doing what her catcher's telling her to do."

So ... who's the coach here? You or her?

(Same coach took me aside after the plate conference and asked me to make sure the other team's pitcher "presented the ball".)

20 second violation isnt an IP, its just a ball on the batter. If it were a time limit game, I would enforce it because they are doing nothing but eating the clock.

Everybody wants the pitching violations called....on the "other team's pitcher!"

Hey Mike, do they have that digital clock in the outfield for the 20 second violation ? Was she throwing strikes ? I always will give a second or two for a strike. IP on a 10 year old ? What do you do with the 12U, call leaving early ?

Just having fun, we have all been in that very same Sitch.
