Cool Restricted to Dugout

I started reading through the 2012 USSSA Fast-pitch Casebook yesterday. I noticed something unusual. There are several instances where the book tells us to restrict a player to the dugout/beach.

But....but...this is Oklahoma!

We don't usually have a beach readily available at our ball fields. I can understand it if I was in Hawaii or Florida. Shoot...even Texas.

In all honesty, if I had a beach next to my field each game, I'd be calling the game from there myself!!

They may LOOK like surfboards, but it's actually the latest redneck "GREEN" initiative. We use them to harness the wind and propel those little cars. We call it "Automotive Wind Surfing."

Plus, all the crazy people doing it move to North Dakota during the spring and to Texas in the fall! They just roam where the wind blows!

ASA 11.10.B does not guarantee that softball is kosher.

Quote:
"ASA's official playing rules, or any modification thereof, should not be considered a guarantee that participants, spectators or others will be safe of free from injury or ham."
Bolded is my emphasis.

So, what you're saying SRW is don't umpire an ASA tournament on Easter because you can't have the Easter ham for lunch?
