A local high school just won it's second AAAA softball championship. They are undefeated for the last two years. This year they were never behind on the scoreboard.

In the final, I really thought the oponent had a chance, it was a super last game. (I was spectating.)

74 in a row is a state record. The pitcher has also won her last 50-something in a row, another state record. And she's a junior.

Wink how picky can we get to tease Mike?

Unless the pitcher is in the country without a visa, only a pitch can be illegal.

Speaking of pitchers...

Here in the 4A AZ state tournament this week, we had a pitcher strike out 32 batters in a 17 inning game. New State record for strikeouts in a game.

The next night in a 5A state tournament game, one pitcher struck out 34 batters in a 13 inning game. She had 16 Ks through the first five innings.

Here's the article: http://www.azcentral.com/sports/prep...rrick0515.html

(Of course, I get the tournament games that end up 9-0 and 11-0)

Nay,

She's legal, some of her pitches might be illegal,
however, they are rarely called. Did she beat some-
one from your area maybe?

Just kidding. Have seen her since high school and had
very few IP's.

She just so quick....

Yes, she is quick and that is probably why I only picked it up in a slow motion replay during the Big XII championship game in OKC.

She has a replant that you are not going to see in real speed. On the replay, she dragged the toe, but before the release, the ball of pivot catches and then comes the release. And I wouldn't even think of it as a replant if it were not for the dirt that replant kicked up before the release.

She's quick, all right, but I would not expect this to be called, especially at that level of play. Besides, unless the umpire had slo-mo capability on the field, they would never see it.

Just an observation,

Thumbs up

So far, so good for the two 1 hitters. Both shutouts
the last against LSU.
