Did I make this up?

To elaborate on this, we had a good game going last night, home team was down by one. Time limit had run out in the top of the inning. Visitors finish their turn at bat and take the field. The pitcher takes her 5 pitches, catcher throws down, and I call batter up.

Minute goes by, still no batter. Coaches are trying to figure out who should be at bat. Minute and a half, and I call a strike on the batter. She finally showed up about 2 minutes late.

There were already folks complaining about how I was cheating the team by calling a strike on her, and how I was just trying to get home early. I can't imagine the uproar if I had called her out like I should have.
