No, you need to read all the rules unless specified as something other than JO.

Junior Olympic is registered ASA designation for youth softball, fastpitch and slowpitch.

Anything in ASA, age 18 or under.

Yes, the JO designation is strictly age related. It has nothing to do with national teams or the like (as the word "olympic" might imply).

All of the ASA rules apply to JO unless specifically stated otherwise.

My book says "Exception Junior Olympic 10 and under", so it doesn't apply to your 10&U team, but you should know the rule for disagreements and rookie uumpires. Any other rules apply to JO, unless they say otherwise, like some of the 10&U baserunning exceptions.

ASA Rule 8-1-B (the third strike rule) does not apply to 10U. True, saying JO 10-U is being ab ti redundant, but that is just ASA following the "chain" of their classifications.

8-1-B applies to Fast Pitch Only. Divisions under FP include Adult and JO. Under JO, there are special rules for 10-U.

You shouldn't infer that there is a different kind of 10U that is not JO. All 10U is JO.
