If there are two outs, why would it be a DDB? What more can the defense attain when there are two outs and any runner leaves early?

The one thing they could attain is putting the batter out instead; if that is the one batter that the coach doesn't want to let beat the team, that might be an option.

I'm betting that suggested "tweak" doesn't happen.
