Received the Fed Softball rule book for 2003.
8-2-1 and -2. The BR shall be called out when: (she) "is leagally put out prior to reaching first base." They still don't codify how she may be "leagally" put out anywhere that I can locate. Maybe I'm being too anal, but it is so obvious to me that something has been left out. It is almost enough to make one register ASA!!! Roger Greene

Guess for ART 2. Again they are *** u me[ing]we figured it was *legally* caught by a fielder and the BR thrown out. At least in ART 3. they did not keep us gussing.  BTW: GREAT CATCH Roger.  glen
