We are praying for rain in the Houston area. I have only had one rainout on a HS scrimmage game this year and they probably cancelled it more for the wind and cold than the rain.

You are not kidding there. I'm starting to think it's never going to rain again.

I sit here reading this thread and wonder what the big deal is...

And what's this "R" word you all speak of? That's Liquid Sunshine, people.

Actually, it's been pretty bad for us here as well. Personally, I've had 30 assignments since 3/15, and 16 of them have been rainouts.

My first season with zero rainouts. A VERY mild sprinkle before the first game exactly once. Our problem is awful dust from the wind and dry field, and the fires that are so far luckily not that close yet. NO rain. Send yours my way, please. We're dyin' here.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for today. I'm FINALLY scheduled to return to the field after my ankle surgery, and the clouds are all around.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Life in the desert....

I have lost three college DHs because of the threat of rain!

Each of these DH were scheduled on a day with a forecast of rain, the home team decided to move the games to a different day earlier in the week when I was not available.

As it turned out, each of the DHs could have been played on the original day scheduled!
