Facebook

My fellow umpires:

I have found facebook to be a great resource to share stories and situations related to the game that we all love.

I think we should start a discussion of facebook pages here so we can all keep in touch with one another if you are comfortable with that.

I am Kyle Leeds in Montana on Facebook. I am easy to spot as my current profile picture is in ASA powder Blue with an ASA hat on. Feel free to add me.

Who else is on facebook and do you find it helpful?

I'm also on Facebook (as you already know), and I find it's great for networking with other umpires from around the country. I also see a lot of posts from ASA's OKC office, as well as various ASA state organizations. In particular, Georgia ASA has used Facebook and Twitter very effectively to get their message out to their fans, as well as to gather ideas.

Since we have many lurkers on the site, I won't post my Facebook page here. PM if you wish to add.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

I hope you are not weakening this forum for those of us who do not need another complication in our lives.

Thanks, Dave. I'll pass on the kudos to the guy who runs the page.

I'm there....

Sometimes, it's the only way I can keep up with my teenage daughters!

I think I have friended just about all of the regular posters, I do like to keep up with other umpires on the site. I do read FB quite a bit, but don't post a lot of stuff.
