Here is a chance to win a paid entry to your State tournament in 2003!

The Softball Show, a nationally based Internet softball talk show is giving away a free entry to a USSSA State tournament in 2003.

Internet based, and live every Monday night at 7 PM EST, they discuss slow pitch softball to the extreme!
Past show topics have included: National and World tournament brackets and results, rule classifications and potential changes, equipment bans and approvals, and more. Featured guests have been: Tom Decker, President of Decker Athletics, Olympic Gold Medallist Michele Smith, and every week a featured team from across the country. There are trivia contests, product tests on performance and quality by selected listeners, and recently a hot dog eating contest! We also had a first at the USSSA NE D Regional, as we were at the fields live for the crowning of the champions, City Limits, with live player interviews.

For those listeners that cannot catch the show live, the program is archived ten minutes after the show is done. You can click on to the site, go to archived shows, and listen to the past weeks show. Currently located at http://www.thesoftballshow.com, their fan base currently reaches over 25,000 listeners and had over one million hits in August of 2002. Future bookings will include the winners of the USSSA Worlds for Men’s Major, B, C, and D.

HOT ANNOUNCEMENT----

On September 30th, 2002, John Pond, Division Vice President for the entire program. Our focus this evening is to take calls from around the United States on how we can better improve USSSA Softball. Any topic and forum is open for discussion…rules, equipment, roster regulations, complex and playing conditions, or any ideas you may have that will make USSSA Softball even better in the future. We do caution, our show is moderated and we will not allow this to be a national complaint department. Our goal is to give John a platform to hear what the players feel needs to be addressed, so that he in turn can look at these issues with members of the USSSA Board and it’s officers.

Want $300? That is what we will pay out to one lucky team for their 2003 USSSA State tournament.

We encourage you to call the show that night to discuss your ideas with John live on the air. For those shy listeners or those that have trouble catching the show live, we are currently accepting e-mail communications on the main page of the site. In that you can express your thoughts and ideas to discuss with John on the 30th. From those calls and communications we will be picking a winner at the end of the show to be awarded the state entry fee in 2003.
