USSSA vs ASA rules

A local league is making the switch from Utrip to ASA this year. I have been asked to give their umpires some rules training on ASA rules. I was wondering if anyone on here could help me with some differences in the Utrip rule set that I need to make sure I cover the different ruling that ASA has.

Thanks in advance

big one is the USSSA similar to NFHS allows rock back step for pitching. ASA is both feet start on the rubber, similar to NCAA

USSSA allows two EP's in addition to the DP/Flex so you can set a lineup with 12 and bat 11.

Slow pitch or fast?

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Some of it may be a year or two old, but probably makes a good starting point.

Correction, there is NO DP/FLEX in USSSA. You can have a DP and a DH, and while their roles are similar, they are not identical to the DP/FLEX.

As to the OP, there are really a lot of small differences in both rule sets. The best thing to do is study the USSSA rulebook carefully to pick up on them. (It isn't very long.)
