.....that even though there is often a nice breeze off the Gulf, it is way too hot to play ball in the panhandle of Florida during the day time.
I sure makes you appreciate the night games that much more.

Welcome to my world Mike! Come on over to my part of Texas, and you will get the heat and the humidity without the nice breeze!!! If you stay out in it long enough, though, you get used to it. (Are you buying this?) That's why there is always plenty of water in my ice chest, and then for after game time, plenty of ice cold adult beverages!!! Scott |

I don't know Scott..........
I AR'd a couple of soccer games yesterday.........and just got back from my youngest's last game........ It was brutal this weekend..........I am still dripping sweat...........I think I feel a cold shower calling me...........grin I agree with Mike.......a little breeze and evening games would have suited me fine...... I lived near Pensacola, FL for a couple of years (75-77) which included playing some softball. Even back then I often thought a shower was a waste of time and deoderant the greatest invention since sliced bread. However, this past week was just a killer. Five shirts barely made it through nine games and that included a full load of wash after game six.
