Well, I'm now getting an "URGENT" request from NASO every month informing me that my membership expired. I sure am glad they pointed that out to me, I never would have known :)

Meanwhile, apparently enough softball umpires bailed on them as they have decided to increase the number of pages and will, once again, be including softball as a real sport. However, this will not happen until October.

And come October and into the future, I will still remain an ex-NASO member.

I keep getting mail offering me a special deal on "Referee" magazine, which manages to find its way into the trash. I have never been a member of NASO, but made my decision based on what I heard here about them deciding to drop softball from their publication and then to start it back up again. So...is 29.95 a year a good deal? ;)
