My pregame with new partner in 14U State play-offs 2 weeks ago..........Sunday morning........after 2 hours sleep.......
Me (BU)......."I will take BR to 3rd with nobody on....." Partner....."Uh-huh"..... Me........"You take lead runner at third on all secondary plays, and I will cover home".... Partner......"Uh-huh"..... Many other things gone over......but these are two that qualify here....... First inning.....nobody on......ball hit into the gap.........I come in..........watch the touch of first........pivot.........move over for the watch of 2nd and hear.........."I'VE GOT THIRD".........Crap........ Think.......we wasted a good pre-game........! And BTW.......that happened 3 times that game......... I figured the UIC's were watching........and I did mention it to one of the Asst's who I was well aquainted with....... Joel
