NSA World Series

it's that time of year again, the NSA World Series is upon us!

what do you guys think of this event? who is working it and where?

I will be attending some of the games, as simply a spectator in Indiana (the class B). Nothing to serious, just go see a friend or two and watch some umpires from across the country do their thing.

I would be remiss if I didn't ask how many countries were participating in this World Series.

I don't know, what does that have to do with my questions?

or is this going to turn into an "ASA is better because that's what I work and we are more robotic and wear bluer pants" type thread?

I guess "What do you guys think of this event?" was a request for only affirmitive comments from like-minded individuals.

A softball World Series is always a good thing.

To rephrase Mike's question: how many teams are planning on being there, and where are they coming from?

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

No, just the same question I ask of the NCAA, USSSA, ISA, SSA, MLB or any other organization in any sport in the country that claim a "world" championship when obviously the "world" is not participating or even permitted to take part. And, yes, I had the same question when ASA used the term.

With only 13 posts, you're new here... you'll soon figure out what Mike was needling about...

And I expect your next post to be something about the inappropriate use of the term "series".

I'm so glad I wasn't mid-sip when I read this. My nice 23" monitor at work would be covered with Mountain Dew.

You're ahead of me...

But, yeah... how is an elimination tournament a "series"?
