Awfully hot weather

It was almost 80 degrees for our games on Saturday, supposed to be in the mid 70s on Sunday. Don't know how much longer we can deal with this oppressive heat!

Send a message via Yahoo to ASA/NYSSOBLUE
Here in New York, its almost the middle of July, and it hasn't hit 90 ONCE....however, the rain has been insane - the big Sunday morning league around here literally has not played in over a MONTH, due to rainouts, the holiday, etc.....they will be playing in November the way things are going.

I wonder if ASA sells an official parka?

I would welcome those "oppressive" temperatures. Yesterday, the temp here was 103. And yes, they are playing softball. 80's would be like playing in air conditioning.

Yeah, I bet it can be sweltering in Seattle when you're having your one week of blue skies. You should probably wait for the temps to go down before you clean that moss and mildew off the shingles on your house.

80s? Does this mean that Al Gore was right about global warming? I'll just tell you something I never thought I'd have to tell someone from your area - HYDRATE or DIE!

Gonna be pleasant tonight here in Omaha/Bluffs. Only mid-70's today, so it'll be lower 70's by game time. Beats the upper 80's and unbreathable humidity we had Friday night.

If you have too much heat, ship some over to the Netherlands please. A carton box wil do!
We have only 16 - 18 Celcius here, with rain! Please send some sunshine...

How about you come on over and call some games with us! I'm sure someone here will gladly let you stay with them.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Oh man, I would be already on my way if only...
The compay I work for is getting all plants in Europe connected on SAP. The Neth.'s will be connected in Sept. I have 44 day's off this year BUT... I'm allowed to take two weeks off this summer! I can't work on any European Competition, like European Championship (Inter Nations) or EuroCup (Inter Clubs) held by the ESF...

Just another 3 nights working (at this moment it's 05:00 13th July in the Neth.'s) and then my vacation starts. Two weeks camping in Normandy (France). I'm really done working right now...

Maybe somewere in the years I'll come over to most softball-minded country in the world: Here we have about 5000 people playing ball (16,5 mil people living in the netherlands), it's a little sport. Most are soccer-lovers! Yuck...

Have you've seen any CanadaCup? Team USA is playing the final against Canada; the Dutch lost almost all the games. Beat only Venuzuela twice, got eliminated by Venuzuela in the 3rth match-up...
Next week they play in Oklahoma City at the World Cup of Softball...

Started to rain last night's game. Teams asked me when I was going to call the game because of the rain. "When the water running of my cap is clear." Stopped raining, field was fine, and I still need to wash my cap.

16u, 18u state championships here in Phoenix this last weekend....

High temp of 113 on Saturday, 114 on Sunday....and we started our last game in the day at 1:00 pm, then nothing else until 7:00 pm.

Had to take one umpire off of the field yesterday because of the heat....

And by "warm weather gear," Larry's referring to this.
