Using ASA rules with the DP/FLEX, how do you guys and gals indicate on your line up card when the DP is playing defense for an offensive player (1-9)? I understand that this is not a substitution, but I should keep up with it on the lineup card, correct? How do you all keep up with it?

The only time I mark it is when the DP goes in to play defense for either F1 or F2. DP then becomes eligible for the CR. I'll mark it on my card that the DP is either F1 or F2.

I use the NCAA line up card system for that. It uses x and an x with a circle. I mod it a tad with a B when there is a "new dp" or a different player on the bench than the one who is the dp on the line up card.

I pretty much use the same system.

I care because the non-defense, non-DP player can confuse the BO and we need to know the correct sequence.
