There've been times when I've wanted to keep one in my car, just in case. I could easily do that, and no one would ever be the wiser. But I would know it's there, and I would know I'm breaking the law (since I'm on town property when I'm calling games). That's enough for me.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

I once had a partner who was active NYPD, and once we were working men's rec together, and I made a controversial call at home to end a game, and as we were leaving the field to much noise, he said, "Partner, I have your back - I have my piece right in my sock!"

in his sock? rofl I bet if it fell out 'tween innings that would put a stop to any chirping... "what was that coach?...oops... hold on coach , dropped my backup piece."
