Wow, do you work with packing partners? ;)

My game yesterday had both my partner and one of the coaches both packing pieces (in their vehicles). Both were some sort of feds. Hmmmmmmmmm
Feds in a fed game....

First batter hits a double, goes to third on a passed ball and comes home on a ground out (1st out of the inning) by B2. The only problem was...she stepped right over home plate without touching it! Visiting team made no indication that they were going to appeal or that they even saw R1 miss home.

I will tell you what I did later.

What would you do?

I would signal safe... wait a bit.... then call ballgame and go spend my game fee on something to drink.

There've been times when I've wanted to keep one in my car, just in case. I could easily do that, and no one would ever be the wiser. But I would know it's there, and I would know I'm breaking the law (since I'm on town property when I'm calling games). That's enough for me.

I once had a partner who was active NYPD, and once we were working men's rec together, and I made a controversial call at home to end a game, and as we were leaving the field to much noise, he said, "Partner, I have your back - I have my piece right in my sock!" :D

in his sock? rofl I bet if it fell out 'tween innings that would put a stop to any chirping... "what was that coach?...oops... hold on coach , dropped my backup piece." :D

Pretty much what I did.

Of course, I did think about staying out there and enjoying two plus more innings in the unseasonably warm 90 degree afternoon sun.......:)

I may be tone deaf.. but at least I'm not blind like the OP who thinks he saw a runner missing home for bottom of 5 mercy rule.

Poor blind sob.

pffft...

:D

He used the "word" correctly. From the Urban Dictionary (abridged):
Quote:

pffft
1. The sound you make when someone says something really stupid.

2. wade's use When someone says something really, really stupid and useless, A sound made to wind people up. The Winner of all arguments.

3. The sound you make when someone says something that you don't like, want to forget, or disagree with.

4. A noise favorably used either in disbelief or as a pre-sound to laughter. Often an aggressive way of saying I disagree and of course for those of the population who feel obliged to try and hold in their laughter use this word.

5. No, THIS was wade's use!:D A sound of disapproval by a stupid German

6. No, HERE it is! The sound wade makes when his brain shuts down after he's been verbally bested.
:D:D:D
