Unhappy

I know many of you also post/read Gary McGriff's softball page. What do you think of NC Blue (Jeff's) comments to me
about needing to have respect of the Alledged Adult Men's SP players? Who cares if some of thos A$$ Clowns respect you or not? He claims that in HIS league, only the lazy, stupid umpires get harassed. Give me a break!

Elaine,
He's probably got a bridge in Brooklyn that he'll sell you, too - cheap.

I wouldn't get concerned at all about what he thinks. Let him & his AA's go along & get along.

Now, about that bridge....................

Yes, many are whiners and criers, but I don't have a problem with them. I've worked all levels, save the Super, of ASA and must admit that I have become semi-spoiled. But then again, most of the umpires that get grief from the players, even locally, are more often than not those with that 3 foot rope from home plate tied to their ankle. Just as in the FP & MP game, hustle and professionalism are the most respected articles an umpire can use to control a game.

There is no doubt that you will still have some morons and idiots out there and the key to them is to deal only with the coach. If the coach is the problem, dump him/her and find someone else with which to deal.

Just don't let them get under your skin. Choose to work your game, not theirs.

Elaine:

I don't know what NC stands for. Probably North Carolina. Some of those people haven't entere the 19th Century, never mind the 21st. One thing for sure, it means "No Clue". I couldn't find his post about you.

Respect from a bunch of wanna-be's, has-beens, and never-wases. Yeah, RIGHT. Some of those types arrive at the game with beer breath, and are real judges of umpires. Or anyone else.

Don't let it bother you.

Bob

Wink

Thanks Guys!!!

The post is about AA antics and it's on down the list. Jeff (NC Blue) has a bad ego problem. I just hoped more than Ed would come to my rescue.

I'm going into the hospital for a colon resection on Wednesday, June 5 to hopefully and finally cure my diverticulitis. Am having to farm out DD Renee to some teammates and their parents for a college exposure showcase in Auburn, Ala 06/07-06/09. So, I'll be off the boards for a while. Email me if you wish, I'd like to hear from you.

Have great games!

I skipped past that whole thread so I didn't see his remarks, but they don't surprise me.

It seems to me that Jeff nevers asks a question without having an ulterior motive. I think Joel has the right idea.

P.S. Good luck with your surgery. Hope you are feeling better soon.
