Runner is awarded 3rd, and is responsible for fulfilling her base running responsibilities wrt tag up, etc.

Runner is awarded the base he/she is attempting (2nd, regardless of which direction he/she was running, since he/she already attained 1st), plus one = 3rd.

In Canada, maybe. In most US rule set, it is just two from the runner's location at the time the throw was released regardless of direction.

Probably the same thing, just different was of addressing it.

Don't even think about the use that type of terminology!!!!!!!!!!! The rule says nothing about "plus one". That is a myth that doesn't need fuel added to it.

Rule says the runner is entitled to two (2) bases from where they are at when the ball left the thrower's hands. (paraphrased)

That wording got dropped years n years ago. It reads basically same as south of the border.

Never, ever use the one plus one terminology. The rule is clearly spelled out in the book, and all you are doing is helping to propogate a myth.
