Talking Coaches

Had this happend in weekend tournament 10 thru 14U's, this
being 14's coach. At pregame conference assistance coach for team A
handles the briefing and submitting of lineup card. Have both recheck
to be sure that is what they want. Both hand back saying, good with that.
As team A's first batter is in the batter's box even has had one pitch
a ball. Coach calls time and said "Let me see that line-up, blue!" He
looks at it and goes over to the scorekeeper and starts giving her some
changes. I ask him what he is doing and he said that the line-up was incorrect.
I said "Oh you are going to make some substitutions?" "No, I am just going
to put them in the order I wanted. Told him, sorry, but that the line-up
card he was holding was the official and any changes would now be considered
substitutions. After few choice words, he tore up my line-up card, but official
scorer was finished with her copy. I even let him leave the ball park.

My Bad title should just be coaches.

Glen,

Good call!

On second thought, you let him get to a cooler before you. Hmmmmm, that's a tough one.

The next time a coach rips up YOUR copy of the line up, maybe you should comment, "So Coach, you're scatching your entire team? Guess the games over then."

Then you'll get some REAL choice words

WOW I like your answer, I certainly was not think
quickly enough to come up with that one, but will keep it
storage for future use. As for him getting to cooler first
you probably right, becuase it was a hot one Sat. and Sun.
