1 base or 2?
Ok heres play. R1 on 1st left handed batter, F2 throws toward 1st hit batter in box, doing nothing abnormal in the helmet and the ball goes over the fence out of play.
Now the question 1 base or 2? There were some that believed that this was a 1 base award since it went out of play on a pitched ball. Others said that was only if it was thrown by the pitcher and went out of play that this rule applied. So what say you all??? |
2 bases from the time of the throw.

Agreed, 2 bases from the time of the throw.

I am not sure but PU sold it on the field, and UIC agreed with it after the game, no protest or anything just discussing it.
Their reasoning was it was during a pitch....I didn't buy it hence my asking here... I had never heard of everything happening during a pitch being different, only if F1 throws it over the backstop, through the backstop etc. |
