I am hosting a 7-8 grade co-ed slowpitch softball tournament this april. My partner and I are now in the process of forming the rule and reg sheet. I told him I would post to see if any of you had any suggestions as to what should be on there. they can be posted, or e-mailed to me at [email protected], thanks!!

Cool

Besides just playing by the normal rules the only thing I can think of to suggest is starting batters with a 1-1 count it seems to speed up the game and limit the # of walks

Besides that HAVE FUN

Cool

Have a run limit of 3 per inning or 3 outs until the 4th inning and then make it "open" for as many as you can get. Also, I'd go by the 10U rules on stealing.

You can steal in slow-pitch?????? Or are you just suggesting
that it be allowed, due to age of this tourney?

Cool Stealing

There is stealing now at some of the upper levels Mens though we still dont allow it here BUT for co-ed and this age group I think I would go with the no stealing allowed

Just a note for other slow-pitch guys that I kinda got the feeling from the National guys at the school in a few years we will be allowing stealing at all levels
