The quoted ASA play deals with bases loaded and a missed home plate touch. The reference I find states that a player must be taggedwhen he is advancing if there is no force.

It is still a live ball appeal of a missed base. The fact that the missed base was a base the runner was forced to would have an affect on scoring, but since this is home, that is moot.

What reference (pertinent to ASA or NFHS softball) are you referring to?

Citation please. If a runner misses a base, they are subject to appeal. If the ball is still live, the appeal is made by the defender in possession of the ball making an appeal to the umpire and either tagging the runner in question or the base missed.

You could be right; but I took it to be a reference to the little ball (OBR) concept, which really has no standing in this discussion. It sounded to me like the poster was determined to use that concept, regardless that it doesn't exist in softball rules.
