My new job: Grim Reaper
Yes, the Grim Reaper of the Fastpitch World.
Monday I have Juanita at Woodinville, doing the dish. Woodinville came into the game undefeated and had received votes in the most recent NFCA High School Poll. Juanita beat 'em 4-3 in 9. Wednesday, I was PU for Bainbridge Island at Holy Names Academy. Bainbridge came into the game undefeated AND had won 17-2 over Holy Names on Monday. Holy Names wins 8-5. On Thursday (5/1) I will be PU for Newport at Issaquah. Issaquah is undefeated. I'll let ya know.

Similar experience a few years ago.
I'm working a HS tournament with several highly regarded teams from across the Western US. One team from the Reno, NV area has a pitcher throwing in the high 60's, already committed to a PAC-10 school. I was PU for two of their games in the tournament, they lost both. I later find out those were her only two losses of the year.

If they know who calling the game, the coaches also can react by letting that pitcher start who throws just where the PU wants it... Some dutch coaches are working that way. They are very pis$ed if we change PU/BU-turn in a double header...
