Here in MN, the state ASA org (MSF) has for a long time deviated from the ASA national uniform, requiring heather gray pants with the powder blue shirt.

They are ignoring the National ASA's new navy pullover shirt, and the ASA's navy pants continue to be ignored.

My question is, what are other local organizations doing about the navy shirt and gray pants?

Many believe the ASA uniform will eventually fall into the following:

Powder Blue over Navy Blue for day games
Navy Blue over Heather Grey for night games

Locally, you can do anything you want.

Dakota,

In the Garland, TX group, we have been told that we may wear the navy pullover as an option. Normally, we wear the powder blue pullover with grey pants. Not many of our group seemed enthused about the navy shirt, so I don't think many will rush out to buy one.

Personally, I think the navy shirt is a good look.

Here in Phoenix, we use the Powder Blue over Heather Grey for all games. That Navy is going to be way too hot when we have games on a 110 degree afternoon!

I have seen others around AZ that are still wearing the Elbecos.

glen........

I still plan on wearing my Elbeco's for league........I have 6 of them.........I gave a couple away to an umpire in need a couple of years ago.......when our Association phases them out........I will remove the patches and donate to the local LL for their Volunteer Umps......

Like Mike.......we are using the Navy/Gray......Powder/Navy combination......

Powder/Navy being the primary uniform........

Just a note.

Ball bag always blue with ASA logo, socks still blue and belt and shoes still solid black. And any T-shirt, white.

Also, I have noted to our association, when wearing shorts, the only combination is Powder over Navy. And, yes, for SP we wear shorts for State Championship play.

We're not allowed to wear shorts for fast pitch.

Last spring I was watching a U-trip slow pitch game. The temp was in the 50s, but the umpires were wearing shorts. Made me cold just watching.

Dakota,

If you ever go to OKC in the summer, stop by a Putnam City Optimist fastpitch tournament. That's the only place I've ever seen fastpitch blues wearing shorts - most without shinguards & chest protectors behind the plate!

Slow-pitch tonight I will probably wear shorts lows will be about 50 BUT 2 weeks ago on our 1st night the temps was in the 30's with about a 30mph wind and we has several rooks show up in shorts.

Gotta be tough to be a TEXAN

Have a good one

In my brief stint in SP last summer........my partner and I both had on Navy Pants and sharp Elbeco shirts.........(it was after post season for me and I still had a couple of fresh ironed ones from the cleaners)........

I sweated through them in our warm Tx evenings though................

Got Semi's, Final and IF game in our tournament for the 14U this Saturday........

Can hardly wait.......
