Videotaping of games

In ASA and NFHS rulesets, is it ever against the rules to videotape a softball game?

not off the field (stands etc)... Provisions would be locations.. most specifically designated press areas and the like.

NCAA permits videotaping from the dugout as well.

How about from on top of an enclosed dugout?

Personally, I wouldn't want to put myself up there with a camera knowing how hard those foul balls could come flying at me, but there is no real rule to prevent it. This is really an issue that is up to the site administrator and/or the umpiring staff.

My opinion would be that since it couldn't interfere with a play, then I would allow it.

I cant think of any reason why I would disallow it.. in football, it is very common to have cameras on top of all kinds of things.. shed, announcers booth.. etc.
