Pitcher's discipline in the circle a mess...
This is fall ball, emphasis on casual play, development, etc. 16U, pitcher was obviously NOT a beginner, but BOY did she have some bad habits! I gave a litany of her issues with the coach after the first half inning. I could have called probably half her pitches illegal!
First, she kicked her pivot foot up as she pushed off. A clear leap, even from PU (single umpire) position. She was clearing the plate by a good 6-8 inches. Second, at least 1/3 of the time she stepped onto the plate with the hands together. Third, many times she would toss the ball into her glove 3 or 4 times before beginning the pitch. I've seen beginners with better discipline in mechanics!

He may have spoken to her during the game since the stepping onto the plate with the hands together did stop, and the tossing the ball became a lot less frequent. She still leaped, tho. They have a fall season end tournament. If I have this team then, and she is still doing this junk, it'll get called.
