I have to say that the ASA Feicheimer pants are top-notch..and so is their gear bag - I have used the gear bag as luggage a lot on trips -it makes a great weekender - and it NEVER gets checked by TSA ( I use the TSA approved locks that show they have been opened...).
I buy my indicators ( I go thru about 1 1/2 indicators a year!) at Modell's ( a local NY area sporting goods chain). They stock the Franklin MLB metal 3/4/3 clicker -none of this 3 ball, 2 strike, 2 out baloney... ![]() I bought the Gerry Davis leg guards this year, and have to say they are as comfortable a set of leg guards I have ever had...and protect well too! Gerry also has a nice heavy duty belt that even holds MY fat gut up.... ![]() The service at Gerry Davis was good, also... I am probably going to be replacing my mask next year - haven't figured where I'll be getting that yet - all I want to do is replace my Wilson A3080 with a new one...lol... |

I ve bought some ASA stuff and my current plate shoes from officialgear. I wouldnt recommend their plate shoes. (spotbuilt hitops are what I bought).
Never had a prob with officialgears service. I go to many resources (including a "local" (70 mi) store which stocks umpire gear) for my gear but not ASA. Honigs did well on some stuff I've ordered from them.

And the details - of this or some other piece of equipment/uniform - are something that every one of us has fouled up at one time or another.

Europe's problem...
Here in the Neth.'s we can buy at (a view) local stores, who get their stuff from the USA. So they need to put the transfer- and customscosts on top of the price.
![]() Thank God Honig's has now a shop in Germany! Only 15Euro extra for shipping between Germany and Holland. More choice, better prices and good services!!! ![]()

Lucky for me my local UIC, Jerry Fick, had the back of his blazer filled with ASA umpire uni's. Got my hat, shirt, belt, ballbag, brush and clicker right from the man!
Does anyone know if the Blue Cintas work pants will pass as umpire blue long pants or if anyone would be able to tell the difference? I was told that they are what alot of umpires use. Remember this is just Mens and Coed SP in recreational leagues. I've seen some umps wearing their hats backwards, lol... I will also be working the ASA Cincinnati Metro Tourney, which is the biggest tourney of it's kind in the US, and blue long pants are mandatory. U think I can get away with the Cintas pants? |
