Scott,
I am sure *Sting* has been in some of our AFA affairs.
However, I realize there are several teams playing under
the name *Sting*. We had a Sting in our last tournament
along with the Mustangs. What City, or County name?

The teams technically originate from Grayson County. There is a "Sting" team in each of the age divisions with different coaches coaching that age bracket.

Scott,

Sting!! That used to be the "arch-rival" of my daughter's former team - Allen Blue Express. A couple of the players hailed from your neck of the woods and used to play for Perry. We've probably attended the same games and cheered against each other.

I just got back from the ASA rules clinic in Arlington. The FED/UIL clinic is tomorrow. Are you planning to attend?? I did see Mike & Robert there today.

Gary!

Wow! We probably have been on opposing sides of a field during many a tournament. Small world, eh?! Yeah..I talked to Mike about going down to the clinics last night, but alas other business has me this weekend. I had really wanted to attend, but this just wasn't the weekend for me to get there it appears. Enjoy it tomorrow.

Incidentally Gary, my daughter came in here while I was posting that last one and said that she does indeed remember the Blue Express well. There you have it.

Gary originally told me that this make up team coming
as the Dallas Mustangs was a *throw together*. Damn
good bunch of throw togethers. His daughter is a great
person as well as a good catcher for someone that normally
plays 2nd.

I have a little thing I always do with the catchers prior
to most games, especially the ones I have never seen. I
warn them that if I get hit by a pitch that they have
missed, their first pitch on their next trip to the plate
is a strike no matter where the pitch may be.

Things went well for Gary's daughter ~ until the last
inning. I got one in each shoulder. {grin} I could not
hold her responsible tho, for both were wicked foul balls.
However, she did turn and ask me if I really was going to
call a strike on her.

Gary, she did great and it was really nice meeting both
of you and best of luck to her and the team and you and
your games in the up coming season.
